The Board of Deacons
Looking after one another...

The Deacons is a group of volunteers whose purpose is to offer practical, emotional, and spiritual support in both joyful and trying times.

We want to acknowledge your special days and we also want to be there for you should you be experiencing a disability, a prolonged physical or mental illness, limitations brought on by the aging process, or other life challenging situations.

The deacons are here for our Kanapaha Church family to provide services to assist in activities of daily living. We in no way replace the pastor, or the care and spiritual comfort our pastor shares with members of the congregation, nor can we provide medical assistance of any kind.

"Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ"

We are here to listen when you need to talk, send a note to brighten your day, visit you in the hospital, help you during a challenging time with such things as a hot meal or a trip to the grocery store...

If you or a loved one has a special need and would like some practical or emotional assistance, please let us know. You can contact the church office and leave a message or you can call Shirley Miller at 377-3043 or email me.

We will schedule a meeting with you to discuss your individual needs.
