House Moving - Our House before being dismantled

Here is our house immediately prior to being pared down for transporting. In order to successfully remove this house from this doomed property, we had to strip off over 7500 bricks, two chimneys, a 2-car garage, the front porch, the back porch, and the entire roof. A temporary flat rooftop was constructed on the original 2 x 8 ceiling joists, thereby keeping the interior of the second floor unaffected by the process. Removing the rooftop allowed us to pass under the 150,000 volt transmission lines in two locations along the route. Reconstructing the house will include the re-use of 6500 of the original red bricks, each having been gathered and cleaned by hand. The exterior siding of the home will likely be replaced with a cypress shake as renovations take place.
