Undercutting the Site

Undercutting the Site

The removal of the clay surface was ordered by a Geological Firm who surveyed the Kanapaha Church property. The other buildings are not ill-affected by this ground since they are elevated off of the ground on piers. The costs of constructing this new building on piers was more expensive than remediating the poor soil conditions as shown in this photo. When Andrews Paving is finished here, the site will look akin to a basement, into which they will backfill a stable bed of lime rock. 8/11/05
